Comforting Quinoa Porridge

No need to ever wonder what to have for breakfast. Moni’s great recipe for Quinoa Porridge delivers on all fronts. Taste, nutrition and a wonderful comfortable filling sensation that will set you straight for the day.



200ml coconut milk or any other milk of your preference
150g cooked quinoa
1/2 tsp cinnamon plus extra for topping
1/2 tsp ginger
1 tsp honey
2tbsp coconut yoghurt
1 pear

Topping: caramelised pears, gorgi berries, bee pollen, coconut chips, cinnamon

Place the milk and quinoa in a pan and simmer till boil point mixing constantly. Off the heat add the ginger, cinnamon, honey and combine well, add the coconut yoghurt and mix again.

Place in a bowl and add the toppings. Enjoy. xx

Caramelised Pears:

Slice the pear and place in a pan with 2 tbsp of maple syrup and 2 tbsp of water and 1 tsp of cinnamon, simmer in a low fire for 5 minutes.
