Serves 10 | Prep time: 10 minutes | Cooking time: 25 minutes |


  • 600g cannellini beans cooked
  • 3 tbsp olive oil
  • 2 onions chopped
  • 2 garlic glove crushed
  • 2 X 400g tins of tomato sauce + 1 of water
  • 60g tomato puree
  • 1 tbsp balsamic vinegar
  • 1 tsp cumin
  • 1tbsp oregano
  • 1tsp fresh thyme
  • ½ tsp paprika
  • 2 tbsp molasses
•Salt &pepper

Heat the olive oil  in a pan and sauté the onion for a few minutes until they soften and brown. Add the garlic and cook for a few seconds, before mixing the tomato puree into the pan and combine well. Add the herbs and spices and mix well. Place the tomato sauce and water in the pan and cook for  15 minutes on a lower heat. Then add the cannellini beans, balsamic vinegar, all the remaining ingredients and season with salt and pepper.
